Pure Matrimony® Terms and Conditions for Membership
Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before registering. By accessing, installing, or using our services, you agree to be bound by these terms.
This document constitutes a legal agreement between you and Pure Matrimony® By using our websites (www.purematrimony.com, www.muslimmarriageguide.com) and associated mobile apps (together referred to as "Services"), you agree to the following terms. If you disagree with these terms, you are not authorised to use or access the Services.
Quick Overview:
- You must be a practising Muslim aged 18 or above.
- Be honest, respectful, and serious about Nikah.
- No financial dealings or inappropriate communication.
- You can cancel any paid plan anytime before renewal.
- We will always treat your data with privacy and respect.
1. Membership & Subscription
1.1 Using the Services means you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy and any platform-specific terms (Apple, Google, Stripe). Pure Matrimony® offers free and paid (Premium) memberships, with paid plans providing enhanced features for discovery, messaging, and safety. Your subscription is personal and linked to your account.
1.2 Plans & pricing – Prices and plans, shown at signup, may vary by region, currency, taxes, and platform. Promotions will be stated at checkout.
1.3 Auto-renewal & billing cycle – Paid subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled. The renewal term aligns with the current plan.
1.4 iOS / Apple App Store subscriptions
1.4.1 Subscriptions are billed at £19 per month through Apple ID and will automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the current billing period ends.
1.4.2 To cancel, go to Settings ➝ Apple ID ➝ Cancel Subscriptions on your device. Pure Matrimony® cannot cancel on your behalf.
1.4.3 Any unused portion of a free trial will be forfeited upon subscription activation. “Apple Inc.’s” billing terms and applicable taxes will apply. Pure Matrimony® is unable to process cancellations on behalf of users.
1.5 Android / Google Play subscriptions
1.5.1 Price and term are shown in Google Play at checkout; local taxes may apply.
1.5.2 You can manage or cancel via Google Play ➝ Payments & Subscriptions.
1.6 Web (Stripe) subscriptions
1.6.1 For purchases made on our website, payments are processed securely by Stripe.
1.6.2 You can update cards, view invoices, or cancel via your Account/Billing page on Pure Matrimony®.
1.7 How to cancel – You can cancel anytime before renewal:
- Apple: Device Settings ➝ Apple ID ➝ Subscriptions
- Google Play: Play Store ➝ Payments & Subscriptions
- Web/Stripe: Pure Matrimony® Account/Billing page
After cancellation on the relevant platform (Google, Apple, etc.), your Premium access continues until the end of the prepaid period; no further renewals will occur.
1.8 Refunds – Subscriptions are non-refundable unless Pure Matrimony® makes an error (e.g., duplicate charges). Apple/Google handle refunds for their purchases according to their policies. See our Refund Policy for details.
1.9 Taxes, fees & currency – Prices may or may not include taxes depending on your region; taxes are added at checkout. Currency conversion or bank fees are determined by your payment provider.
1.10 Price and plan changes – Pure Matrimony® reserves the right to change prices and plan features. If you continue your subscription after a price change notification, your subscription will automatically renew at the new price. You can avoid the new pricing by cancelling your subscription before your next renewal date.
1.11 Promotions, vouchers & discounts – Promotions are temporary, often one-time per user, and cannot be combined. We may revoke access if eligibility is not met or benefits are misused.
1.12 GDPR & billing data (short notice) – Billing data is processed for paid services, fraud prevention, and accounting, utilising processors like Apple, Google, and Stripe. Full card details are not stored by the service; rather, processors handle secure storage. Data retention adheres to legal and tax requirements, and the Privacy Policy provides details on user rights and contact information.
1.13 Communications about your subscription – By subscribing, you'll get important service emails like receipts and policy updates. Marketing emails can be opted out while still receiving essential communications.
1.14 Add-ons, including the Wali feature – Some features (e.g., Wali view/oversight tools) may be included or offered as optional add-ons depending on your plan. Billable add-ons display pricing and auto-renewal at checkout and follow the cancellation rules outlined in section 1.10.
1.15 Fraud prevention & chargebacks – Accounts may be temporarily held, limited, or suspended for suspected fraud or misuse. Initiating a charge back without contacting support can result in account suspension and processor dispute fees.
1.16 Where to get help – For billing or subscription questions, contact support@purematrimony.com and include your platform (Apple/Google/Web) and invoice/transaction ID.
2. Eligibility
2.1 Age requirement – Pure Matrimony® requires users to be 18+. Underage accounts will be closed with no refunds, and associated information may be blocked.
2.2 Faith and intention – Registration with Pure Matrimony® requires users to be practising Muslims seeking marriage according to Islamic principles. The service is exclusively for Muslims, and any false declarations of faith or intent will lead to immediate membership termination without a refund.
2.3 Purpose of use – Pure Matrimony® requires users to genuinely seek a lawful Islamic marriage (Nikah).
2.3.1 Temporary Marriages (Misyar, Mut’ah, etc.) – Pure Matrimony® is committed to protecting the rights of sisters and ensuring fairness in all marriages. Any arrangement that limits or compromises spousal rights is not supported, as it often results in injustice towards women. While some forms of marriage may be accepted if both parties clearly agree and consent, they must always be based on transparency and fairness. Profiles promoting such arrangements without mutual understanding will be suspended, and repeated attempts may lead to a permanent suspension without refund. Additionally, using the platform for anything other than genuine marriage, such as casual dating, friendships, or immoral activities, will result in an immediate and permanent ban.
2.3.2 Polygyny – At Pure Matrimony®, the principles of rights, transparency, and consent are at the heart of every marriage connection. We strongly support and protect the rights of sisters and ensure that no member is treated unfairly. While some forms of marriage may be accepted if there is clear mutual understanding and agreement between both parties, any arrangement that is exploitative, misrepresented, or imposed without consent will not be tolerated. In such cases, accounts may face immediate suspension or a permanent ban without reimbursement.
2.4 Wali feature & parental involvement
2.4.1 Parental registration requires a son/daughter's permission.
2.4.2 Wali accounts need verification.
2.4.3 Wali’s can view/monitor/join conversations with the member's permission for safeguarding.
2.4.4 Members can remove/restrict Wali access, but Pure Matrimony® encourages parental involvement.
2.5 Legal capacity – By registering, you confirm your legal capacity to marry under Islamic and local civil law. Do not register if your circumstances currently prevent lawful marriage.
3. Account Restrictions
3.1 Single account rule – Each user is permitted a single personal account. The creation of multiple accounts, account sharing, or the use of another individual's account is prohibited and may lead to permanent suspension without a refund.
3.2 Personal vs. commercial use – Pure Matrimony® is for personal use only. Unauthorised commercial use is strictly prohibited and may result in legal action.
3.3 Accuracy of information – Information provided in accounts must be accurate and truthful. False or duplicate accounts will be banned without a refund.
3.4 Compliance with local laws – Users must comply with local laws and Islamic guidelines regarding registration, marriage eligibility, and guardianship. Pure Matrimony® retains the right to suspend or terminate accounts that infringe upon these regulations.
4. Prohibited Actions
4.1 Confidentiality – Members are obligated to maintain the confidentiality of all shared information. The dissemination of another member's personal details, contact information, or conversations without their explicit consent is strictly prohibited.
4.2 Financial Transactions – The exchange or solicitation of monetary transfers between users on this platform is strictly prohibited. Violations may lead to immediate account suspension and potential legal proceedings. Report suspicious behaviour via the “Report Member” feature.
4.3 Content Restrictions – Uploading or sharing harmful software, un-Islamic, offensive, or disrespectful material, harassment, threats, or promotion of illegal activity is strictly not permitted.
4.4 Unsolicited Communication – Sending unsolicited messages, repeated contact despite disinterest, or spamming is prohibited. Non-compliance may lead to temporary suspension or permanent termination of the account.
4.5 Profile Integrity – All profiles must maintain accuracy, truthfulness, and accuracy. Fraudulent, deceptive, or redundant profiles, including photos, personal data, lifestyle details, occupational info, or partner preferences, will lead to an irreversible ban without refund.
4.6 Wali-related Conduct – Guardians/Wali must uphold confidentiality and respect. Unauthorised use of guardian access, including monitoring or disclosing information, will result in revocation of access privileges and disciplinary action.
5. Photos and Profiles
5.1 Photo Guidelines – All photographic submissions must be recent and authentic. Any unauthorised, fabricated, or misleading photos may result in suspension or permanent termination of your profile without refund. By uploading a photo, users agree to indemnify Pure Matrimony® against any claims that arise from unauthorised or false submissions.
Steps to Upload a Photo
1. Log in to your Pure Matrimony account
2. Go to Profile
3. Click Upload Photo
4. Select a clear and recent photo from your device
5. Click Save or Upload to complete the process
Your photo will then be reviewed to confirm it meets our guidelines. Once approved, you will receive a notification, and the image will become visible on your profile.
5.2 Profile Information – All personal information must be accurate. False or duplicate profiles will be permanently suspended. Personal contact info is only disclosed after compatibility is established.
5.3 Islamically-compliant Matches – Profiles are exclusively for Islamic marriages. Promoting non-Shariah-compliant relationships is prohibited and may result in immediate profile removal and permanent account ban.
6. Monitoring and Conversations
6.1 Safety Monitoring – Pure Matrimony® reserves the right to monitor platform messages and interactions to ensure safety, prevent harassment, and uphold Islamic values. See our Privacy Policy for details.
6.2 Sharing Contact Details – Personal contact info (phone, email, social media) may only be exchanged after compatibility is established. Premature sharing is prohibited.
6.3 Responsibility for Off-Platform Interactions – Once conversations move off-platform, Pure Matrimony® is no longer responsible for disputes, financial transactions, or other outcomes.
6.4 Moderation of Content – Public posts, comments, and forum submissions may be reviewed or removed if illegal, offensive, misleading, or un-Islamic.
6.5 Reporting Violations – Members should use the “Report Member” feature to report inappropriate behaviour, spam, harassment, or fraudulent activity.
7. Fraud and Scam Warning
7.1 No Financial Transactions – Monetary transactions between members are not permitted. Any solicitation under false pretences violates platform policy.
7.2 Reporting Suspicious Activity – “Report suspicious members via the ‘Report Member’ feature”. Pure Matrimony® may suspend accounts or escalate to legal authorities.
7.3 Awareness and Caution – Pure Matrimony® cannot guarantee intentions of other users; members should exercise caution.
8. Liability Disclaimer
8.1 Personal Responsibility – While we take every reasonable step to ensure a safe and positive experience, Pure Matrimony® cannot accept responsibility for outcomes of member interactions conducted independently or off-platform.
8.2 No Liability for Harm or Loss – Pure Matrimony® is not responsible for financial loss or harm from member interactions, on- or off-platform.
8.3 Conversations and Contacts – Off-platform interactions are the user’s responsibility.
8.4 Platform Reliability – Pure Matrimony® is not liable for service interruptions, technical issues, or member behaviour.
9. Indemnity
9.1 Shared Responsibility – Both members and Pure Matrimony® acknowledge their respective responsibilities in ensuring a safe, lawful, and ethical environment.
- Members agree to use the platform in accordance with Islamic principles and all applicable laws.
- Pure Matrimony® commits to taking reasonable care in maintaining the platform’s security, moderation, and operational integrity.
9.2 Fair Indemnity – You agree to indemnify Pure Matrimony®, its affiliates, employees, and partners only for claims, losses, or damages directly resulting from your misuse of the platform or breach of these Terms.
Likewise, Pure Matrimony® accepts responsibility and will not seek indemnity where loss arises due to negligence, system failure, or misconduct on its part.
9.3 Legal and Ethical Compliance – Both parties are expected to comply with all relevant laws, regulations, and Islamic ethical standards. If a claim arises:
- Each party shall bear responsibility proportional to their proven fault or negligence.
- Pure Matrimony® will cooperate transparently with users to resolve any dispute fairly, in line with both Islamic justice and consumer protection principles.
This clause exists purely to protect both you and Pure Matrimony® from misuse and misunderstanding, not to limit your legitimate rights as a user.
10. Termination of Access
10.1 Right to Suspend or Terminate – Pure Matrimony® may suspend, restrict, or terminate accounts for fraudulent, suspicious conduct, illegal, un-Islamic, or inappropriate conduct, or attempts to bypass rules.
10.2 Proof of Identity – Members may be asked for valid ID for verification, securely stored.
10.3 Effect of Termination – Termination or suspension results in loss of access to content, and members remain responsible for fees. Pure Matrimony® is not liable for prior communications.
11. Service Interruptions
11.1 Scheduled Maintenance & Updates – Services may be unavailable during maintenance or upgrades.
11.2 Unforeseen Interruptions – Technical issues, network outages, or third-party failures may affect service.
11.3 Limitation of Liability – Pure Matrimony® is not liable for losses from temporary service interruptions.
12. Legal Action for Inappropriate Use
12.1 Enforcement of Rules –Pure Matrimony® may take legal action against members for unlawful or inappropriate conduct.
12.2 Prohibited Activities Subject to Legal Action – Members must not disseminate vulgar, offensive, or un-Islamic content; advocate illegal/immoral acts; harass others; transmit unsolicited communications; or engage in fraud/impersonation.
12.3 Reporting & Investigation – Suspected violations may be reported to legal authorities; Pure Matrimony® will cooperate fully with such authorities. Report via “Report Member” feature.
12.4 Consequences – Violations may lead to suspension, permanent exclusion, legal action, and content removal.
13. Termination of Membership
13.1 Right to Terminate – Pure Matrimony® may terminate or suspend accounts due to fraud, suspicious behaviour, or violations of platform regulations or Islamic principles.
13.2 Effect of Termination – Members lose profile access; content may be deleted. Subscription fees are non-refundable, except for company errors.
13.3 Verification Requests – Proof of identity may be requested for account verification.
13.4 Appeals – Suspended or terminated members may appeal via support@purematrimony.com. Decisions are final.
14. Content Deletion
14.1 Right to Delete – Pure Matrimony® may remove any content violating Content Policy or Terms of Service.
14.2 Criteria for Deletion – Content deemed illegal, objectionable or otherwise inappropriate, un-Islamic, or harmful may be removed.
14.3 No Liability for Deletion – Pure Matrimony® is not liable for loss or inconvenience due to content removal.
15. Pure Matrimony®’s Right to Use Member-Provided Information
15.1 Editing and Moderation – Pure Matrimony® may review, edit, modify, or remove profile information violating standards or policies.
15.2 Purpose of Moderation – Ensure adherence to Islamic principles, verify profile accuracy, safeguards members, and removes harmful content.
15.3 Member Consent – By using Pure Matrimony®, you consent to moderation and removal without notice if criteria are not met.
15.4 No Liability for Changes –Pure Matrimony® is not liable for dissatisfaction, loss, or inconvenience from edits.
16. Monitoring Policies and Practices
16.1 Profile and Content Monitoring – conducted to ensure profiles safety, compliance with Islamic principles, and prevents fraud or harassment.
16.2 Off-Platform Communications – Sharing personal info before compatibility may lead to permanent suspension.
16.3 Wali Monitoring – Misuse of Wali privileges may revoke access.
16.4 Enforcement Actions – Inappropriate content may be removed, and accounts may be suspended or terminated.
17. Purchased Memberships Terms and Conditions
17.1 Membership Responsibility – Members must cancel if they no longer wish to use the service. Failure results in auto-renewal; no refunds for unused periods.
17.2 Automatic Renewal – Subscription auto-renews unless cancelled at least 24 hours prior. iOS users manage via iTunes; Android users via Google Play.
17.3 Payment Obligations – Full payment for premium features is required. Refunds only for errors (duplicate charges, technical issues), processed within 14 days.
17.4 Free Trials and Promotions – Remaining free trial periods are forfeited upon paid subscription activation. Offers are one-time use.
17.5 Cancellation – Stops future billing; past charges are non-refundable. Manage via app store or account settings.
18. Refund Policy
We always aim to handle all refund-related matters with fairness, transparency, and within reasonable timelines.
18.1 General Policy – No refunds except for company errors (technical issues or duplicate billing).
18.2 Error-Based Refunds – Processed within 14 days. Google Play / Apple App Store refunds via respective stores.
18.3 No Refunds for Change of Mind – No refunds for unused or voluntarily cancelled subscriptions.
18.4 Subscription Management Responsibility – Members must cancel subscriptions to avoid auto-renewal charges.
19. Membership Types
19.1 All subscriptions (1, 6, and 12 months) are set to auto-renew at the end of each term unless cancelled in advance or unless promotional pricing terms apply.
19.2 1 / 6 / 12- Month Subscriptions – Customers are eligible to upgrade or extend their plans, with payments processed through Google Pay, Apple Pay, and other supported methods.
19.3 Free Trial, Discounts, and Vouchers – One-time, limited-duration use. Mobile app subscriptions are recurring; manage to avoid unintended charges.
20. Membership Fee and Pricing
20.1 Subscription Fees – Clearly displayed at signup; may vary based on plan, promotions, or discounts.
20.2 Payment Methods – Securely processed via Stripe, Apple Pay, Google Pay, or authorised providers. Financial details not stored beyond processing.
20.3 Refunds and Cancellations – Non-refundable unless due to Pure Matrimony® error. App store refunds requested directly. Cancel proactively to avoid charges.
20.4 Auto-Renewal – Auto-renews unless cancelled 24 hours prior.
20.5 Wali Feature in Relation to Membership – Premium members can add Wali’s to oversee conversations; access ends if membership expires.
21. Proprietary Information
21.1 Ownership of Content – Pure Matrimony®, partners, members, and users retain copyright for content (text, images, videos). Content remains the intellectual property of its creator.
21.2 Restrictions on Use – Do not copy, modify, distribute, or re-publish content without written consent. Unauthorised use may lead to account suspension and legal action.
21.3 Use of Member-Provided Information – Pure Matrimony® may edit or remove content violating policies, Islamic principles, or Terms & Conditions.
